Up early and an opportunity to check in on the shocking pictures of UK riots. Then it was back on the expensive bus into Brisbane. This time we took our "free cruise" up stream and enjoyed the city views from the river.
Then back into the city centre and a walk around the pretty botanical gardens, and a tour of the Queensland Parliament building.
Then by popular demand from the children it was back to Street Beach for a swim in their urban water park and urban beach.
Temperature around 22 degrees, but a bit of a chill wind so adults avoided the call to jump in the water too.
Back in time for a delicious Chinese meal cooked by Cecilia and an opportunity to catch up with Sarah and her partner Mitch.
Tomorrow we are hiring a campervan. We may travel to Bryon Bay tomorrow, or may stay in a National Park in which case we will not have a mobile phone signal so will be unable to update the blog.
Its Eleanor's birthday tomorrow, so this may alter the decision.
