Awoken by a knock on the door, Mark, Liz, Luke, Scott and Harry Shawcross who had relocated to our campsite - which was lucky because w were making plans to relocate to their campsite!
Swam all morning and had a lazy day by the fantastic campsite pool. It was very hot - not a cloud in the sky.
At about 3 o'clock we set off for a walk in the hidden valley. Ate green ants straight from the bonnet of our friends van. The ants tasted very sour and the legs were hard to swallow! Walked up the path and got scratched by sharp grass. Saw the mini bungle bungles (beehive shaped rock formations formed by millions of years of weathering) and scrambled on the red rocks did our own interpretation of aboriginal rock art with the sandstone.
Dad promised we'd see a kangaroo at sunset in hidden valley and since we hadn't seen any on the walk we drove along a bit but still none, so as a punishment we made dad hop across the campsite shouting "I'M A KANGAROO!"
Tomorrow we start for broom so will be out of reception.
